Equinox Adventure Learning

Located at the Takhini Hot Springs. Drive to the parking lot, look left and… up!

Programs:
Experienced and friendly staff will introduce you to the unique and fascinating experience of climbing on frozen water. The ice wall presents a variety of opportunities and challenges in a beautiful location. Please call to discuss times, dates and options.

Ice Trek:
* 1.5hrs. $45pp (max 6) + gst
* This introductory ice adventure takes you on a guided tour of our dramatic ice formations - no prior ice experience is necessary. Using crampons and safety equipment, follow your guide along an ice path of traverses, bridges and tunnels to the top of the ice towers (60 feet high). Includes all equipment, safety briefing and warm space for gearing up. For ages 6 and older.

Ice Trek & Climb:
* 2.5hrs. $75pp (max 6) + gst
* A more in-depth program where participants practice footwork on the ice hike, then learn to use ice axes and rope to climb the ice towers. Your friendly guide will lead you through the basics of this unique winter activity. Includes all equipment, instruction and warm space for gearing up. For ages 10 and older.

For a close-up look at the land, the walking / x-country ski trails provide ample opportunity to study the vegetation, feel the terrain, watch some small animals and catch sight of birds in their natural habitat.
